This Auction is being held to raise funds for the EskieFriends DogBowl.
Since we're in the midst of winter, and indeed it has been quite a winter for some of us(what's another 3 feet of snow, eh?), and since this is usually the time many of us start to feel a little caged in, well, we decided to call this our DogHouse Fever Auction. Afterall, we're here for the dogs, and what better title than that!
Sorry, no truckloads of snow for sale....but most of the East Coast probably has plenty to spare!
Rather than just wait the winter out, or fight what's left of it, take a look around this auction, and you'll find some excellent items to check out. Hey, go ahead...bid on 'em...you can get a pretty nice bunch of stuff here, and when you do, you'll be helping some needy eskies out. It's a win-win situation....help yourself to some nice items by being the high bidder, and help some eskies out as well!
For those who may not be as familiar with our history, below is an overview......
We began raising funds to help needy Eskies in 1999, and now, over 3 years later, we're going stronger than ever. For the first many fundraisers, the funds had been for a specific needy eskie(or eskie-friend) or other specific situation. As we ended up with excess(above and beyond the particular fundraiser's needs) at times, we started putting that toward future cases or sometimes cases that popped up from time to time. When we moved to the EF site in early 2001, this "excess" became the EskieFriends DogBowl. If you've been with us for any length of time, you probably know this, but we figured we should explain it a little bit once again in case someone isn't 100% sure of what the DogBowl is. Over the past number of months, the DogBowl has become more and more important....as we tend to help needy Eskies(and Eskie-Friends at times) out with funds in the DogBowl. As we've mentioned before, the DogBowl is constantly changing in amounts, and usually a needy case utilizes funds before too long, so we like to keep funds IN the DogBowl, so that when cases come along, we are able to help if need be. Thus, seeking to add a little more to the DogBowl is to help needy Eskies(and sometimes others) out as we best can. The more we can keep adding to the DogBowl, the more good we can do.
Over the past 3+ years, we've raised many thousands of dollars; something probably none of us could have done on our own...but together, we indeed CAN make a difference. With our 2nd auction in August 1999, our theme of Giving Life a Second Chance was utilized and has been one of our main philosophies all along. If you want to know why that's important, just take a look at your own dogs and know how important they are to you.....every dog should be so loved, and given a chance at a permanent, loving forever home. In a way, there isn't much to say about raising funds for the DogBowl that hasn't already been said here, but if you want to see more of what it's all about, take a look at some of our many, many past fundraisers and the dogs(and a few cats) helped out. The faces, the stories, the warm fuzzies that you'll encounter are what we seek to continue. MANY of these dogs are alive and and/or in better health today due to the help of all of us. And, yes, it's ALL of us.....together....friends of the Eskies and that's why we're EskieFriends together! Always doing what we can in...... giving life a second chance!
This auction will help in those efforts, so check out the auction items.
Bid to help needy eskies out, as well as to get a nice item yourself. Many of these will make perfect gifts!
This auction is being held to raise funds for the EskieFriends DogBowl, which is used to help needy Eskies(and sometimes Eskie-Friends) as need be. 100% of the money raised will be used for the dogs. You pay NO shipping for US and Canadian packages. The shipping is paid by the donators. Payment must be in US funds only.
