Hi EskieFriends:
I use to be called Garth, but now I'm Roman.
I was taken to Noah's Ark Animal shelter
from the Conroe TX pound. I was HW positive,
skinny and had a bad coat.
In Feb '02, Annette Dias went into Noah's
Ark Animal Sanctury to walk some dogs, and
lend a hand for a short while on her way
home from work. She saw me in a wall cage
lying on my back, as flat as I could in the
confined space.
She gave me lovings and walks, and told the
volunteer that she'd be back to get him on
Sun., if I didn't get adopted at the PetCo
adoption day.
She came back to the shelter on Sun., and
I was back from Petco, unadopted. So Annette
couldn't see me spending another day in there,
so she scooped up my scrawny Standard Eskie
body, hair a-flying from my bad coat, and
home we went. She changed my name to Roman.
My top front teeth had been 'kicked into'
my upper jaw and were rotten, embedded, infected,
and obviously painful. Noah's Ark had the
teeth removed, much to my relief, so today
I have a 'toothless smile', and I DO smile!
I'm a 'high-stepping, prancy, unconditional
loving, well-mannered' standard Eskie. I'm
very much a part of the Dias' family and
well engrained into their lives in the short
time I've been with them. Remember rescue
Eskie Benz? He's here too. Benz will live
out his remaining days here. He will never
be abused again, nor will I!
I already had one HW treatment. I go back
on June 14 and 15th for 2 more treatments.
My bill thus far is $194. My estimate for
the 2 remaining Immiticide injections on
the 14/15th is $189.
I'm grateful for EFs' help. With your help,
I'm getting a....second chance at life. I
sure luv ya all!
Eskie Hugs & Kisses, Luv & Licks,
Eskie Roman (was Garth)
