This raffle is being held to pay medical
bills for Boris, a lovable Siberian Husky
who was shot in the leg, which later had
to be amupated. This darling boy is lucky
to be alive, but is grateful for life as
well. Be sure to read Boris' story, and see why he's stronger
than a bullet!
Tara Catalano-Smith, Friends of Zorro Siberian
Husky rescue, is not new to the Eskie World.
She owns a rescue Eskie named Candi. She
has rescued and fostered Eskies (one for
me personally- Curly!). She took in a NY
HB Eskie named Leo, who had severe aggressive
problems. Leo now lives with Tara's mother.
Tara was contacted by Diane Driscoll in regards
to fostering Boris, as they were unprepared
to rehabilitate him at the shelter. In all
the years that Tara has done rescue, she
has never seen a shelter as remarkable as
this one. They do not euthanize unless an
animal is absolutely medically unable to
be helped. They have a dog right now that
had eye surgery, and he is a SENIOR. They
do all this with very limited funds.
This raffle is being held to pay for Boris'
expenses that were required to give Boris
the care he deserved. Please take a moment
to read his story and look in his eyes and
I know your heart will feel what mine has.
I KNOW Boris and this shelter will be eternally
grateful.
Oconee Regional Humane Society is a small
volunteer-run organization with a large rural
territory, Greene, Baldwin, and Putnam counties,
in east-central Georgia. They have a big
job to do - lots of people are too poor to
take care of their pets and there are many
abandoned animals. There's probably another
gunshot victim like Boris in their future
and they want to be able to help more special
pets.
23 nice prizes and as always…100% of the
money will go to "honorary Eskie Boris"
and any extra will go to the DogBowl.
This raffle is now over, but results will remain posted for reference.
As always, if we raise more than needed,
the excess will go to the DogBowl to help more needy dogs. 100% of the money
raised will be used for the dogs. You pay
NO shipping for US and Canadian packages.
The shipping is paid by the donators. Payment
must be in US funds only.
Make checks out to Tara Catalano-Smith and mail to her at the address below( Please include your email and regular mailing address). She will post an update to the list regularly(usually nightly). The host and immediate family are NOT allowed to buy tickets(common courtesy)! The rest of us, though, are allowed to buy as many raffle tickets as we can.....so don't hold back!!!
