Keeshond Samson, beloved "Soulmate"
of rescuer Pam Hildebrand, has recently been
diagnosed with transitional cell carcinoma
cancer. Pam is very active in Keeshond rescue,
but stated she would need to bow out of rescue,
effective immediately. Her priority has to
be Samson, his treatments and paying his
medical fees. When Pam posted Samson's situation
to the Kees list, and the possible unbelievable
medical costs, many Keeshond rescuers/fanciers
wanted to help Pam with the expenses. If
someone like Pam has to leave rescue to bear
the brunt of medical costs on her own dog,
what have we gained in rescue? One has only
to look at the track record of Pam and everyone
else in rescue like her to know where one's
heart lies on this issue. Most of us understand
the bond and compassion involved and would
do no less to save our own furkids. "Just
an animal" doesn't cut it with the majority
of us in the Kees (or Eskies) community.
The money raised in this "One Of Our
Own" auction will help pay Samson's
large vet bills. 100% of the money raised
will be used for Samson, and possibly other
dire need dogs. All excess money will be
donated to a worthy rescue dog org.
Pam has received $1,130 in private donations.
The first 2 bills from Purdue University total $1,017.90. Other people requested
a fundraiser, thus...this auction for "One Of Our Own".
Regarding Pam….."One Of Our Own"
Pam Hildebrand is indeed one of our own.
And Keeshond rescue is our cause.
Every day we all contribute to the Cause
in one form or another...
be it reading emails, calling shelters, springing
dogs from shelters, transporting them and
fostering them. Pam does ALL of these things
for Our Cause-Our Beloved Keeshonden.
She has deeply devoted herself to Keeshonden
in need.
Now we, as fellow rescuers need to help out
One of Our Own.
Samson, Pam's Soulmate boy, is facing a very
rough road, many obstacles-and they need
our help.
Cancer is a very tough disease-but it is
beatable with support & love....
So let's do it.
Let us dig into our hearts, our pocketbooks;
let's help Pamela & Samson BEAT THIS!
Let's support & love them, feel good
doing it....and even win something!
Why? It is simple. She is one of our Keeshond
Rescue Family.....
She is one of OUR OWN!

I wanted to write and thank everyone for
their prayers, well-wishes, kindness, suggestions,
and for sharing their stories of their beloved
fuzzies who have faced what Samson is facing.
When I wrote to the List about Samson, it
was only to share with you all, my "extended
family," my grief and concern for my
baby. I am completely overwhelmed by the
love & support my list friends have shown
& offered me. It's taken me a while to
get through the emails as I've had to stop
and wipe tears from my eyes so many times.
I could never have imagined the outpouring
of support. And the offers of financial assistance
- I never expected that! I'm flattered &
humbled by all the caring, and admittedly
a bit embarrassed by all the kind things
folks have said about me. The prayers are
the best support, and the best chance at
a cure. I've seen prayers answered before,
and I am sure they will be answered again.

US and Canadian winners pay NO shipping fees. Shipping is paid by the donors. Payment must be in US funds only. Our faithful EFs treasurer is Jill Boardman in IL. She will collect and disburse the money to Pam/dog charity group as required. If you wish to remain ANONymous (to buy a gift for a special someone), we will honor your request. Just let me know. Remember, Easter is coming soon!

ATTN: WINNERS: Your wins will be shipped after Jill (auction
treasurer) receives your payment. PAYMENT
IS APPRECIATED ASAP BUT NO LATER THAN 30
DAYS AFTER MY NOTIFICATION TO YOU. Payment
reminders will be sent out if needed. If
there is a problem with payment, we will
work with you, just let me know. If you have
extenuating circumstances and need cooperation,
we will be very patient and work with you
as much as humanly possible. Soooo....don't
hesitate to participate....but do realize
that we need to "close" each fundraiser
at some point and move on. We hold these
fundraisers to help the dogs. They CAN NOT
wait forever for a pledged donation! We do
have bills to pay, sometimes paying the vet

PAYMENT. Customized packages are to be shipped
within a reasonable timeframe. We need to
"close" each fundraiser at some
