June 2001 "EskieBoutique" fundraiser for "Buddy"!
![]() |
Hi EskieFriends, Linda Neff in NJ rescued me from a shelter. The shelter worker told Linda the previous owners thought I might have had seizures. In November 2000, Keirstin and Mike, adopted me. Life was so much fun. I learned what no meant, what I can and cannot do and have found a really good place to sleep. One day, Mike couldn't find me! I was sleeping under the bed! I'm a real snuggler too. Mom told Linda that she is so glad she contacted Linda when she did, because she got a GREAT buddy! |
| It hurts me to say, I have had 3 seizures
since then and the last one left me blind.
Keirstin took me to the vet, who recommended
an ophthalmologist, who recommended a neurologist.
They did a spinal tap but Mom has not heard
the prognosis or diagnosis yet. I did regain
partial sight in one eye, but it is not good.
I heard Mom say my one eye is still not reacting
to light. I try not to let Mom know I'm sad but it is really hard. Mom is depressed too. Some days are better than others but Mom can tell I'm not feeling too well. The neurologist claims that he will put me on more medicine once we have a definite diagnosis. |

I am such a sweet boy. Keirstin took
me to
her parents' home in southern VA over
Thanksgiving
and her parents fell in love with me.
The
neighborhood kids love me. This is
so tough
on everyone! I have met so many people
since
November. The kids in the neighborhood
are
worried about me and so are Mom's whole
family
and all her friends.![]() Mom is doing all she can, but I really came with a lot of baggage, and everyday has its own challenges. Can you find it in your heart to help me? AND, by doing so, you'll not only know you're helping a cool eskie out, but you ALSO can get a REALLY neat plush toy that looks like me. If you need a name for your plush Eskie, you could always name him "Buddy"...that way you'll always remember how you got your neat eskie toy and it will be a constant reminder of not only how much you like eskies, but also that you are helping other eskies in need when the circumstances arise!. |

Giving Life a Second Chance These auctions/raffles are held to help needy eskies(and sometimes eskie friends!). It is through the generous help of EVERYONE that we have been able to do so much together! If you can donate an item(though doggy items are most welcome, all kinds of donations are encouraged), please consider doing so. If you want to help, but don't want to "shop", let Pat know as she often gets some great items at great prices, and you can donate items by utilizing her "resources". Or possibly other ways.....it is ALL that we do together that helps! And, don't forget, the auctions and raffles are GREAT ways to find some common(as well as not so common) items....MANY eskie and dog related...spread the word!!! If you are looking for an item, let Pat know, and she can add it to the "Wishlist"....MANY items have shown up on the auctions via such requests! We will have another auction together before long, so do contact Pat if you are interested in helping......together...we can all help out in... Giving Life a Second Chance...
